Jake goes to Ray and Kevin's house to tell Kevin he figured out what happened to Raymond: he was mugged. Jake says he watched the camera footage which showed Ray being followed into an alley by three men with a knife. When Holt enters and demands to know why Jake is there, Kevin asks Holt about the mugging. Holt says he wasn't embarrassed about an attempted mugging in which he fought off the attackers. When Kevin is unsure why he didn't tell him about the incident, Jake realizes it's because he was injured. Ray admits he was \"lightly stabbed\" and didn't want to scare Kevin by telling him. After an upset Kevin storms off, Captain Holt angrily tells Jake to go away after his beyond unprofessional behavior.
They visit Phlox to see what's happening with them, but the doctor can find nothing wrong. T'Pol says that the craft is emitting some type of high energy particles, which could be the temporal radiation mentioned by the Tholians. Phlox believes there are unlikely to be any lasting effects since the radiation intensity is quite low. Archer orders Launch Bay 2 sealed to prevent more incidents, and learns from Tucker that he was unable to get data from the black box. T'Pol asks to speak with the captain in private, and she comments that she thinks that it's too dangerous to keep the craft with them, since they've been attacked by two hostile species and the radiation could spread to other sections of the ship. She suggests destroying the vessel. Archer dislikes this option, saying he is tired of the Temporal Cold War interfering in his century, and it's time they took a more active role in it. T'Pol does not fully believe that this war really exists, but even so she comments that they should not become involved. Archer replies that they've been involved since they left spacedock. He also remembers that Daniels told him that there were other factions in this conflict, and wonders if the Tholians are working with one of them. T'Pol thinks that Archer's curiosity is placing Enterprise in an unnecessary danger, but he has already made his decision, saying that this situation is an important opportunity to gather information. She leaves the ready room but advises Archer to put the ship on tactical alert.
Tucker, T'Pol, and Archer are dining, and Tucker says that he wishes he had had more time to explore the future ship, wondering how many rooms could be down in the ship. It appears everything was sent back to the 31st century, but T'Pol says there is no evidence to support that view. Tucker replies that there is no evidence to contradict it either, but he still does not understand how quickly everything disappeared, since the device was online for less than a minute. Archer says that time is irrelevant to these people as, if it were from the future, whoever sent it had plenty of time to locate the signal and then travel back to any point in time to retrieve it. Tucker leaves and, alone with T'Pol, the captain says that he will make contact with the Vulcan High Command to apologize for the trouble to Tal'Kir and thank them for the help. T'Pol thinks that the gesture will be appreciated and, before leaving, she says that the High Command asked her to prepare a report about this incident with his permission. Archer gives it, and wonders what the High Command will make of Vulcans and Humans exchanging chromosomes some day. T'Pol dryly says they're probably more likely to believe in time travel.
Lucas slips into Hanna's bedroom while she is in the hall talking to her mom. He surprises her there, claiming that he never wanted to hurt her. Hanna asks what he did to Caleb while covertly calling Caleb on her cell. Caleb, who is already downstairs, gets the call and rushes up to Hanna's room, hearing Lucas' threatening voice in the background. Caleb asks what Lucas did and where he has been. Lucas reveals why he was on the hotline: He lost $4,000 in a bet over a basketball game, money which belonged to Caleb. It was a sure thing until the team got disqualified. After the rowboat incident, he drove all over selling his comic books to try to get some of Caleb's money back. Now they're all on good terms again, but Hanna now is unsure of who they met in the greenhouse.

A call home from Marlin Academy reveals that Francis got them all in Lois' name, which makes her furious. He tries to get her to calm down and let him explain, but she refuses. Lois furiously yells at Francis for getting all those traffic ticket violations and never telling her about it. She mentions it was his fault that she got arrested, taken to the police station to be booked and locked up. Francis defends himself by saying it's Lois' fault that he is stuck in military school. When he is home he has to make up for his social life that he doesn't have time to follow the traffic rules. Refusing to accept his excuses, Lois tells off Francis that his irresponsible behavior has caught up with him and that he will suffer the consequences. She tells him that he is going to pay back the family by paying those parking tickets along with the $145 to get the family van out of impound, adding up to a total of $747.13. Francis says it's totally unfair and that none of the incidents would have happened if Lois wasn't a reckless driver. He further explains that whenever he parked too close to a mailbox, he was not endangering anyone's life. Lois tells him that was not the case on her end, that she was pulled over by a corrupt cop for a traffic violation she did not commit. Francis then states it's ironic that karma has come back to haunt her in the end. He mentions that when he was framed by the police for an incident involving the neighbor's car, the result was getting sent to Marlin Academy. Lois points out he asked for it. She keeps defending herself that the cop was out to get her for not giving her a free iced tea. Francis says it's a fact that everyone's out to get you -- including the neighbor's cat who's the ringleader. Lois then repeats that until he can come up with the owed money, he is not allowed to visit home, Francis calls her out and asks her how he's supposed to get the $747.13 while stuck in Marlin Academy. He claims the punishment is just an excuse to keep him in military school. Lois ends the call by saying it was the cat's idea. Malcolm tells Lois that there's no way Francis can come up with the owed money, but she stares at him in anger, forcing him to take back what he said. Hal calms her down and claims that Malcolm is right and that Francis will find a solution and that everything will be fine. Hal understands that Lois will have to go to traffic school but hears about the fun courses including cooking, bowling and comedy traffic school classes. However, she interrupts and tells him off that she won't got to traffic school. Hal warns her that if she refuses, she will get a point on her license. Lois explains that she's not going and won't get that point because she's taking it to court since she did nothing wrong and she will make the boys testify in court as her witnesses as she believes they saw what truly happened. Malcolm, Reese and Dewey are horrified by this because none of them were paying attention (Reese was pulling gum off the bottom of his shoe, Malcolm was giving himself a pirate tattoo and Dewey was fantasizing about driving the car himself) but they agree in order to avoid making her angrier. Lois predicts a case of entrapment. Hal tries to talk some sense into Lois by explaining it's going to be her word against the officer's and how the judge usually rules in favor of the police's defense. Lois is sure that's what Officer Stockton is counting on, and how he'll be the one in serious trouble with his job for making an unlawful arrest. Hal sensing his loss in the argument accepts Lois' decision and says that he and the boys have their total support. Reese tells her that in a world full of lies, truth is her greatest weapon earning a confused look from all of them, Reese states he was only trying to be supportive.

Finally, Penny has joined their weekend paintball expedition. While they are huddled in a shed on the paint-ball range to go over their game strategy, Sheldon kills Penny because of her cushion incident. After running through a police railblock, the group of four has apparently jumped off the train. A police force chases the group, until their path is blocked by a helicopter. The group turns out to be the conductor and others, who explained that the real group of fugitives told them to jump off the train at gunpoint, to keep running, and not to look back. As Michael, Lincoln, Sara, and Kellerman leave the train without incident, Kellerman finds a car, and is again contacted by the president. Kellerman asks her what they did during his 35th birthday. When the voice on the other line cannot answer the question, Kellerman realizes that she is not actually the President. He says, \"Hey.
