Episode Complete is a result that players can achieve within each area in the final chapter. Getting an Episode Complete provides the most satisfactory outcome for a location; obtaining Episode Complete for all regions in a single playthrough awards the player with the ultimate dressphere, Mascot. If the player doesn't get Episode Complete, they may get Episode Concluded instead, to signify the player has concluded all events in the area.
International has general tweaks to the look, feel, speed, and dialogue. It has two extra dresspheres, new Garment Grids, and the inclusion of a Creature Creator system similar to Final Fantasy X's Monster Arena, where fiends can be captured, trained, and used in battle. Notable new fiends include Almighty Shinra (a demonic-energy infused Shinra) and Major Numerus (the final boss of Last Mission, a four-headed snake beast that rivals other Final Fantasy bosses for the spot of most difficult).
On March 19, 2013, it was confirmed that Final Fantasy X-2 would be receiving an HD remaster alongside Final Fantasy X based on the game's International version. The two games are available together on a single Blu-ray disc for the PlayStation 3 version. PS Vita owners can either download both games digitally for $39.99 or purchase a retail version that comes with a physical copy of Final Fantasy X and a voucher to download Final Fantasy X-2. The HD remaster has trophies and improved music and graphics.
The combo pack will also be available as a download on PlayStation Store. If you prefer a physical copy, you can buy Final Fantasy X at retail, which will include a voucher to download Final Fantasy X-2 from the PlayStation Store.
The fine print appeared on the Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster's website. Southeast Asia, however, will be receiving both games on their Switch cartridge according to Bandai Namco, talking to Nintendo Soup. This is different from the European, and now North American versions of the game. Both of those regions will receive a download code for Final Fantasy X-2 while Final Fantasy X will be playable on the cartridge.
Important information: FINAL FANTASY X HD Remaster available on game card. FINAL FANTASY X-2 HD Remaster game content is download only. Single-use voucher included. Internet connection required. microSD card may be required.
Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster takes up about 7GB on PlayStation Vita, 23GB on PlayStation 3, and 32GB on PlayStation 4. Nintendo Switch cartridges can only contain up to 32GB of data, though a percentage of that is taken due to formatting. Nintendo reportedly pushed for larger capacity game cartridges but delayed them to 2019, so hopefully we will soon see a reduction of physical games requiring online downloads for the full experience. DOOM was a notable game that required a large download as the full game could not fit on the Switch's default cartridges.
FINAL FANTASY XX-2 HD Remaster is available both physically and digitally on Nintendo Switch. The boxed Switch release features FINAL FANTASY X HD on the cartridge, and a download code for FINAL FANTASY X-2.
Well if i ever should buy it again (sold it, wasn't that impressed with X plus X-2 and still prefer 7&9 and even some of the modern ones like XII, LR and XV over it) than i don't mind, if it's the whole Game. God Eater and other Games on different plattforms offered that as well, (except some special edition it was the same for Bayonetta) and it never bothered me... however if it would be like you have a part of the game on cartridge and the rest you need to download like l.a.noir and such, than it would be a big deal...
@SmaMan FFX on cartridge is included in the physical retail box. It will also come with a piece of paper with a download code for FFX-2. It's the same thing that happened with Resident Evil Revelations Collection. RER1 on cartridge, RER2 digital only (code on paper provided in physical retail box).
I made the decision that for any games where they do this half physical, half download BS, I'm just going to buy it on my PS4. I ended up doing it with Resident Evil Revelations, I ended up doing it with the Mega Man collections and I ended up doing it with this game. After I saw the European version of this game was half download, I figured the US version would be as well, so I just purchased the PS4 version for literally 1/3 of the price of the switch version.
@Anti-Matter people are way too obsessed with this mentality. News flash, your digital games are going nowhere. You lose or brick your Switch, you can redownload all your games you've already purchased for free via your account. Short of Nintendo completely disappearing, your games are going nowhere if you own digitally.
but the whole preference aside its still not viable the entire internet layout isn't viable nor is it equal for that ideal to be here any time soon let alone cheap enough to the point they dont charge you an arm and a leg for downloading too much
@duffmmannThe problem with that mentality is that this very month is the death of the Wii eShop. That means that if you have not physically downloaded any game that you \"own\", you forever lose all access to that purchase. And if your physical game console gets damaged to the point you can no longer read or transfer from it, you are Sorry Outta Luck forever. My physical game will be playable on any game console that can read it. My physical game cannot have me be permanently incapable of playing it, unless every single console in the world self-destructed.
I like digital and physical but this is a way of taking money from people who want to buy physical but without giving them what they want. Clutter and inconveniece of changing carts with the mandatory download and need to buy extra storage. The definition of \"the worst of both worlds!\"
Likewise, I refused to buy Revelations 2 as it wasn't on cartridge, so I accumulated enough gold coins to be able to download it when it was on sale, and it still ended up costing me money, as 24GB of flash memory ain't exactly free.
I swear, you didnt see Sony gamers on Vita throwing a fit over FFX-2 being a download code. And they had no storage! Had to pay $100 just to cap out at 32gb! They were happy to get the game. Nintendo fans though... the more that time goes on, the more I cant stand em.
That's like saying if you havent picked up your physical copy from BestBuy after 15 years, you lose access to it. Why on earth would you not have your game downloaded (\"picked up\") from the digital store after 15 years
Preference is fine. I prefer physical (how can I be \"against\" it when I prefer it... that's ridiculous). But just because I prefer it doesnt mean I'm going to \"not buy a game\" just because its digital. Hell, the game isnt even split. The FULL GAME is on the cart. It's just the stupid garbage sequel that's a download. AND. AND. The option is there to get both via the English Asian version. Thanks to region free. Ya know. The thing everyone cried about not having last gen. But apparently nobody actually cared about using it. They just wanted to complain about it. Now you have it, you dont wanna utilize it.
And using the 1 or 2 games in the history of video games that have been removed from a store, out of tens of thousands, hundreds of thousands of games... as \"case in point\" proof that digital is risky... isnt even worth debating. You can't cherry pick the 0.0000001% of games as an example and pretend it's a truth for everything. If you buy a game from BestBuy, you have to pick it up. They wont hold it forever. Neither will a digital store. If you still dont have your game downloaded after 15 years, you deserve to lose it.
Disappointing, though I was looking and the HD remaster for both games was around 36 gigs, so it was probably going to be either have 2 cartridges which I think most people wouldn't have a problem with or go for digital route so they can save on using 2 cartridges. Like it or not the digital age of games keeps pushing it's way forward every step it can. Personally I love physical games, but it's harder to get games without day 1 patches nowadays to fix the issues, and seems half the time you are downloading the entire game even with physical media nowadays.
@JaxonHStraw man argument. I never said that digital games in and of themselves were wrong. I said that the practices behind digital games is something that I disagree with. And regardless of my feelings regarding digital-only games or digital copies of retail games, in this case this is a physical game being restricted to digital restrictions. As a physical-only gamer, That is unacceptable for me. And this current ongoing practice, where a physical game is requiring a one-use digital download, is something I will never accept. Please avoid miscommunicating my focus in the future. 153554b96e
